About Marci

Marci Hersel is an award winning Illustrator living in Southern

California. Her first published Children's book, Baumbastisch, written by Margot

Webb, was obtained by an overseas publisher and translated into German. Soon

after, she illustrated a chapter book that was independently published by the

author. These experiences gave Marci a greater

appreciation of the commitment involved in successfully creating books.

In addition to her love of art, Marci also enjoys writing for children. She finds

inspiration in many things especially travel and learning new things about different

cultures.
